Medieval Musical Tour of Rothenburg o.d. Tauber
My tour was featured the Bavarian Network, Bayrischer Rundfunk, on December 21st, 2023. The show is called "Wir in Bayern" (We in Bavaria) and our segment is titled, "Verliebt in den Schottenladen."

Join professionally trained singer Margareta von Schwangau, the wife of the "Last Minnesanger" Oswald von Wolkenstein, as you travel in time through the musical works of German lyricists spanning the 11th through the 16th centuries. With live performances in medieval German, modern German & Latin, you'll discover at each stop a composer from the medieval times while learning the history of Rothenburg & about the town's historical buildings & events. - April 15th through Oct. 31st (I'm on vacation from the 27th of July to the 23rd of August 2024)
Fee (cash only, payable at the beginning of the tour):
Small Group Tours: Once someone has booked a tour at the 100, EUR rate, individuals/groups may join in.The booking fee will be split evenly among the groups/individuals for up to 6 guests. If more than 6 guests join, 8 EURS will be charged per additional person and then spilt among the group. Generally these are small groups between 2 and 15 persons. Children under 12 are free of charge and are not included in the 100, EUR rate.

Private Tours & "Last Minute" Tours (booked on same day as tour):Available starting at 150, EUR, this rate is good for up to 8 guests. Additional guests will be charged 10, EURs per person. On a private tour no other individuals or groups may join your tour.
Children under 12 are free of charge and are not included in the rate.

Book a Quiz:
Additionally you can request a quiz for youth to engage them during the tour. This is a 20 question quiz and costs 25,-EUR. (Up to 10 printouts, each additional printout 1,-€)
10,-EURS will be given back to the youth with the most correct answers. If you would like to book this service, please allow 10-15 minutes of extra time at the end of the tour to go over the answers.
Additional Information:
This tour is appropriate for children, but was not "designed for children."
The tour can accommodate guests in wheelchairs. Please let me know in advance, so that I can be accommodating.
